More Than a Boarding House, a Community
At PLC, the strength of our Boarding House lies in the care and support our girls feel every day. Living here, they become part of a close-knit family where friendships run deep, staff truly know each girl, and home is found in shared laughter, encouragement, and understanding.
This spirit of connection is enriched by our outstanding facilities – from welcoming common rooms to spaces designed for study, wellbeing, and recreation. Together, the people and the place create a nurturing environment where every girl feels valued, supported, and at home.
The Boarders’ Sitting Room (BSR)
This room is for the use of all boarders and their families. It is a place where boarders can meet with visitors. A movie screen, large screen television, pool table, table tennis table, piano, and fully equipped kitchen are available for everyone’s use.
Dormitories
Girls in Years 7 to11 are accommodated in rooms with one, two, three, or four beds. Girls in Year 12 are accommodated in single rooms with the majority with double beds.
Each girl’s area consists of a wardrobe, chest of drawers, bed, and a safe. Girls are encouraged to bring treasures from home and photos for their pin up board to personalise their own space.
