Chaplain’s Welcome

Welcome from
our Chaplain

At Presbyterian Ladies‘ College, we are committed to nurturing the whole student in preparation for a meaningful and impactful life. Founded over a century ago, PLC has been built on a progressive understanding of the Christian faith that welcomes all, regardless of religious background, and embraces those who hold no specific faith.

The Heather Barr Memorial Chapel within Carmichael Hall is at the heart of our community. More than a gathering place, it is a sacred space where every individual is respected, valued, and invited to reflect on the deeper questions of life. It is here that we celebrate our shared humanity – honouring what unites us across faiths and beliefs.

Our Chaplaincy programme offers a blend of meaningful worship, pastoral care, and acts of service. It provides opportunities to grow in faith, explore life’s greater purpose, and foster connections that transcend differences. Personal care and support are integral to the fabric of daily life at PLC, ensuring that every student feels seen, heard, and loved.

I invite you to join me in this journey of discovery, where together, we explore the love that binds us, celebrate the diversity that enriches us, and walk in faith toward a future filled with hope.

Rev’s Reflections

Every fortnight of the school term, I publish thoughtful reflections that encourage us to pause, find meaning, and connect more deeply – with ourselves, each other, and the world around us.

Use of the Chapel

For any pastoral or spiritual matters, or services to be held in the Chapel, these are facilitated by the College Chaplain. Old Collegians and members of the PLC community are warmly invited to contact the Chaplain directly for further assistance.

Please note that the Chapel is primarily reserved for Old Collegians and members of the wider PLC community and is not available for hire to the general public. As part of the Uniting Church, PLC offers these spiritual and pastoral services as a privilege to our community, all of which are facilitated by the College Chaplain, an ordained minister of the Uniting Church.
