Growing and nurturing along the way...

Presbyterian Ladies’ College was founded in North Perth in 1915 and in 1917 relocated to the current site in the leafy Perth suburb of Peppermint Grove.  The reputation that PLC has since gained is one of academic excellence and outstanding success in preparing young women to lead active, purposeful lives.

Evidence of our rich heritage is apparent throughout the campus.  The original house on the property was built in 1904 and was the first building used when the school took over the existing site.  It is still used today as the administration centre of the School.

PLC provides education from the early childhood years of Pre-Kindergarten to the senior girls of Year 12, and each stage of learning is housed in separate areas.  The impressive campus is situated between the Swan River and the Indian Ocean.

The Early Learning Centre (Pre-Kindergarten to Year 2) and Junior School (Year 3 to Year 6) are situated in buildings accessed from McNeil Street.  The centre was beautifully modernised in 2002 and provides a comfortable and stimulating environment for our younger students.

The Middle School (Year 7 to Year 9) is housed in the newest addition to PLC, the Science, Technology, Arts and Middle School building.  The entrance to this impressive building is situated in View Street and envelops the landmark Norfolk Island pine that was planted in 1917.

The Senior School (Year 10 to Year 12) is located on McNeil Street and in the process of being refurbished and updated.

The Boarding House (Year 7 to Year 12) is situated on the edge of the PLC campus in an established residential area and enjoys a quiet, secure setting close to both the river and beaches.  The facilities offer a contemporary, homelike environment, which has been recently refurbished to meet the needs of the modern girl.

Our other facilities include a music centre, which is housed in a former glorious Peppermint Grove home.  We also boast a modern sports centre and drama centre and recently opened a new Swim and Recreation Centre, providing a heated swimming pool for year-round use, multi-purpose gymnasium and extra play areas, in addition to existing courts and playing fields.

The first-class facilities PLC provides lead to a dynamic teaching and learning environment with outstanding facilities and resources and an outstanding reputation for academic excellence.
